On September 20th, the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors held a public hearing on the proposed development at the Bock farm. The purpose was to approve or deny the developers’ request for a change in the property zoning, including a waiver on one of the lot line requirements, a waiver to allow the maximum building height to be 55 feet vs 50 feet, and a waiver to reduce the age of the occupants from 60 to 55.
Mount Vernon Supervisor Storck was aware of the covenant that our association holds on the farm and that our association had voted not to release the covenant on the 4.38 acres where the development would be located. After the hearing was over Supervisor Storck asked the Board to postpone voting on the proposal until he could have more time to meet with the parties involved. The vote was postponed until October 18th.
I have had several conversations with Supervisor Storck, and he met with the majority of the covenant holders. Because he had only received a few letters from our community he would like to hear from more residents.
Your letters will have a bearing on how he votes on the proposal. In favor or opposed, it will only take a few minutes to send him an email.
Supervisor Dan Storck, email@example.com.
