After 30 years, our WMNCA President John Harris and our Vice President Walter Zurawski are both stepping down. Below is a letter from John.
"Friends and neighbors.
I have had the honor of serving as President of our Citizens Association for 30 years. The time has come for me to step down and pass the gavel on. I would like to recognize our Vice-President Walter Zurawski who has served for 30 years and is stepping down. Thank you to all who have served as officers of the Association. They made the decisions that made Williamsburg Manor North a great place to live and raise a family. A from the heart thank you to all of you who volunteer year after year to make sure our community events go off without a hitch, and everyone enjoys themselves.
Looking back 30 years we were able to block several attempts to build high density residential developments and one commercial development, at the farm. Our primary means of communications was a phone tree” operated by “Block Captains”, and a monthly newsletter.
Kathy and I are not going anywhere, we have lived here for 37 years, Williamsburg Manor North is our home. We look forward to staying involved in the community."
We will be having elections at our next meeting, Thursday May 18. Those who have paid dues will be able to vote. Stay tuned for more information on a 'retirement' party after the meeting for John and Walter.
