Public Hearing Bock Farm

Sep 3, 2018

This week the yellow signs advertising a public hearing about the Bock Farm have been posted. This hearing is scheduled before the Fairfax County Planning Commission on the evening of Sept 20th at the Governmental Center in Fairfax. The purpose of the hearing is to define and approve the subdivision of the remaining seven acres of the Bock Farm. You may recall from the meetings last year this remaining portion of the farm is restricted to three single family homes. This hearing is a formality leading up the Board of Supervisors approving the subdivision.
As shown on the plan there will be two lots located at the corner of Hinson Farm Road and Parkers Lane, with entrances off Parkers Lane. The third lot will be located south of the existing house, also with the entrance off Parkers Lane. This house will be located approximately 300 feet into the lot. This lot will contain approximately 5 acres and border the rear lot lines of Apple Hill Road to the south and the town houses to the north.
The existing house on the property contains approximately one half acre, and is not included in the development. It is zoned R-3, and may be developed by right as long as it conforms to R-3 (Residential 3 house per acre)
I will be speaking in favor of this subdivision at the hearing.
